Hey Friends! I’m Cris, AKA the Batchmaker. I was born and raised in Honduras, where I grew up the oldest of 3, baking cakes and brownies for bake sales whenever I had the chance. I lived there all my life until I moved up to Georgia for college in 2006. I got my BA in Psychology, and after, my now-hubby and I had a chance to stay in the states for one year post-grad. We opened up a map to choose where to go next and picked Charlotte, NC without having ever been or knowing anyone here. Hubs got a job in Marketing and I immersed myself in my passion and started honing my skills as a baker.

I’m a mama to Josefina Leonor and Joaquin Ignacio, whom I secretly hope will remember the smell of cookies and goodies being baked and think of their mama! My kiddos and my husband, Pablo, are my favorite #Batchtesters. I still have to finish my clinical hours for my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health, for now Im running, raising the littles, and tackling Batchmaker orders! I love to stay busy!

I haven’t received any professional training in baking or decorating. I’m one hundred percent self-taught and I’m constantly growing and learning. I love food and people–and I channel that into baking. Nothing fills me more than serving others… well, that and a good cup of coffee (especially if it’s from my father-in-law’s farm in Honduras), a slice of cake, and good company.
